Anyone else having trouble with the Video Plus preview videos not playing properly?
I run Windows 7 Home Premium, and in both Firefox 17.0.1 and IE 9.0, when I try to view the latest preview video the browser becomes unresponsive. I get fragments of sound but the video pane is a constant green with no video. I can watch Youtube videos and most others on the web with no problem, and I have a broadband connection (AT&T Uverse). I have Adobe Flashplayer 11.something - just updated it to the latest tonight.
Anyone else having difficulty with these videos? If so and you fixed it, how did you do it?
Win 7, IE9, played fine for me, even in full screen mode. The download barely stayed ahead of the playing though, and my connection is 30Mb. Open up Computer, right-click your C driver, and do a disk cleanup. Then try again - only click the pause button as soon as the video starts, then wait for the bar to fill up more before hitting play.
Try checking your speed with a site like Speedtest.net. Verify the connection speed is what you are supposed to be getting. DSL speeds can vary all over the map depending on how far you are from the CO, and when speeds get down to the 1.5Mb or lower range, while it’s lightning fast for web browsing, compared to dialup, it’s really getting too slow for high quality video.
