Excellent. Love that working derail.
Excellent
Very, very enjoyable. With today’s controllers, you can be with your train instead of sitting at some remote cab like we did in the old days. The manual switch, derail, and gate also give you the feel of being a member of the crew. I love to operate the hot shot freights and crack passenger trains as well, but sometimes it just feels good to stop and throw a switch. Excellent video.
Enjoyed the derail and the gate. The ballast in the engine terminal is the cleanest I have ever seen. Take a walk in a real terminal and it will be very different. Looks like O scale ballast also. It’s nit picky, I know, but engine terminals are messy, grimy places where you can never see the ties.
Thank you everyone for your comments.
Mark, that’s not an engine terminal. It’s a lumber yard.
Very nice. thanks for sharing
Excellent video and advice
Great modeling! I can’t wait for MRP. Does the article talk about your switch lists? They looked great in the few seconds we saw them. If its not in the article, can you tell us what you use? Is it a commercial program or homemade? Keep up the great work!
The switch list, if not produced by RMI/GE’s TMS system is a darn close duplicate. That particular system is used by most short line and regional railroads operating in North America. The version you see here is but one of the list formats available in the system. Amazed to see it in use on a model railroad. Nice video.
Nice Work Love the video.
Thank you Greg! The MRP article is about how era affects layout design and how I picked the modeled era for my layout, so no details on my car forwarding paperwork. I use Robert Bowdidge’s Switchlist application to create yard reports based on IAIS paperwork.
Great Quality and nice moves… Thanks!
Very nice, enjoyed everything on it. Thanks for sharing…
