Other than the discrepancies pointed out in the written review; this appears to be a fine running engine, although a bit too new for my layout. Fans of the NP should be happy with the inclusion of this engine and its bigger brother the U-28C. Now if some one would come out with the correct (cab windows) SD-45, the NP modeler could operate a typical NP freight of the 60’s (SD-45 and 2 U boats). If they all had sound, wow!
I want one! (or three or five) got to see this beasty little giant at friends layout, the detail is beautiful and the performance I saw was stunning, easily walked up 3% with twenty cars, I like the CB&Q even if the gray is a bit lighter than what I’m told should be a darker gray color, but I could over look that issue

I have one of these and they are a very sweet running and sounding engine. Some functions extremely complex to program. Haven’t tried the Lokprogrammer. Has anybody successfully adapted Kadee couplers to this locomotive? I tried and they’re very droopy. I suppose some kind of shim has to be fabricated.
