DCC Doors!? 2 words:

Tricked Out

WOW! That shows the great potential for DCC in the future. Raising pantagraphs and opening and closing passenger car doors are very useful. The decoupling feature would be very useful on US models. Decoupling from the train where ever you are, and without even touching the train.

Very impressive, but it still bothers me to see an electric loco mobile with pantos down.

Pretty doggone snappy!!!

AWESOME… I like the Acela idea as well…and your landscapes are very realistic. Thanks

WOW!

Very impressive. I would love to see some of these features pop up on US models. It would be neat to have your Acela train raise and lower the pantographs or open doors. And have your locomotives actually uncouple when and where you need them.

perfect, I like it…

Wow thats the coolest thing I ever saw. I’m just getting started with my passion to model the NYC Subway system. I’m still in the planning stages and I have many things to learn how to do. To keep the cost down I’m looking into srachbuilding my own subway cars. I’m at the point of making my own blanks. If I could add the doors opening to my subway cars Wow I would be so proud. It’s just one more thing for me to work on. Thanks Model Railroader Magazine you’ve helped me in so many ways to make things more clear on how to make my dream work, and it just keeps on getting better. Thanks again. Clyde

This is an interesting model loco and cars. Pity its of German outline may be if the market is there US adaptations will appear.

Very, very impressive. I grew up in Romania, around passenger trains, and it’s what I’m modeling (well, their US counterparts). Agree with the others on having these features on an Acela trainset. Technology is making things very interesting for us modelers.

Perfect Idea - wonder, how much it will cost. This is no toy for little kids.

good train

sweet, didn’t know that those features can be done

saw this dcc set at a show in june its brill, also like the automatic
couplers.

This is really awesome, I would be blown away to see operating KD knuckle couplers on Locomotives. How about opening crew entry doors on a SD45… the posibilities are endless.

This is a stunning model. My Friend has one of the 1st ones purchased in the US. He got it a few months ago. He Runs on Marklin C-Track, and with their CS2 system it has even a few more tricks. These feature would be great on American engines and cars. That would be perfect on an Acela set or GG-1 and coaches.

Let’s here it… Thank Goodness For DCC!!!

ver, very interesting. much potential u.s. application. one has to give the germans credit.

Everytime I see a train like this one, I am almost tempted to switch from O to HO. This is a beautiful set, which is no surprise, as it is made by Roco. As for price, well, this sets costs as much as a Lionel Acela, and the Acela can also do all those neat things. However, if this set was available a few years ago, I would defintely be modelling in HO today.

What possibilities for the die hard New Haven fan/modeler, who has
the old imported HO electrics. We can dream.
