Great scenery, but how did we ever cope before onboard sound for our locos. It just gives it that little edge in realism that until a few years ago was lacking.
Keep up the good work Matt
I was at the Great Train Expo in Indianapolis A few weeks ago, and me and my dad stopped by the NMRA booth and had a conversation with Lou Sassi. He had a small compact layout set up (which was very well done by the way!), and he was a very nice, experienced modeler. Layouts like is make meproud to be a model railroader!
Good job, Matt. You can’t beat those sound equiped loco’s for added realism, can you.
I loved the drive in! I was waiting for the girl on here roller skates to come out and take orders. Very nice job Matt.
I wish I could see your layout in person!
great job Matt loved it
I am just getting back into model railwaying and this sort of detail in a layout really inspires me. great job.
Whenever I make a comment I always give the layout a five.
Because of all the hard work that went into building such great model railroads.
very nice and well thought out. 5 I tend to be a detail guy also. still working on my layout. Thank you.
Great scenery and impressive coal drag
Great layout and camera work never “crossed the line” as I learned in my camera classes. Is it possible to offset the chuffing on dual drive articulated locomotives to get a more realistic sound from the decoder?
Awesome layout; need to read the article describing the layout in more detail.
excelleent modeling; i really like how the locomotives sounds
Great layout. Really liked the sound-equipped steam engines.
Awesome layout. LOVE the background clouds!
As an Appalachian modeler (L&N, Winchester, Ky,) I am really looking forward to reading this article. The video lookd great.
I was impressed with the article and the video does your layout justice. Thanks for sharing
Matt
great layout! and the crabgrass now I have a reason to do the yard work, I do hope Lou will revisit and shoot more of your layout Im sure I’m not the only one who would like to see more. can you tell more about the rock walls page 52…
kevo
Great layout, from what I saw in MR. I don’t mean to be negative, because I really enjoy these videos of good layouts, and I enjoy watching Cody’s Office videos. But it just seems as though there could have been other things to videotape in the short 2 min 12 sec of running time than to watch 20-30 coal-loaded hoppers cross 3 intersections in town. I think the layout has many other beautifully scenicked areas, and it would have been nice to see trains running through them.
