I am in a modular group that has participated in the train show for the passed 33 years. It is by far the best show. I have engines and cars that only run on the modular layout because they are too big for my home layout. From an “insider’s” point of view I think this division of the NMRA does an excellent job with putting this show together. We will be back in 2011.
This was very enjoyable. I did not have to go through the airport pat-down, rub-down, groping, and picture taking of my embarrassing body. It was good to just be at home watching your video in good old sunny California.
This was very enjoyable. Wish I could attend one of fest shows
someday.
Good show David, it’s interesting to see what goes on behind the scenes.
Good job David…can I have a Model Reailroader Christmas Tree ornament?
it is a petty that i live in new zealand as the train fest look like a lot of fun, so would love to come
Nice presentation. I can’t make the show this year, but I’m looking forward to 2011 (weather and finances permitting). Greetings to all from the St. Cloud Northern Railroad!
I can kick myself for not going. Next year for sure, hopefully with one or more of my Grandsons.
David did an excellent job. I don’t know how much was scripted, but it came across very natural and energetic. Thanks.
Nicely done David! I see that everyone else was working hard on the setup while you did the video!
Thanks for making the effort to show this segment to us…much appreciated.
Enjoyed presentation by a real upbeat type of guy! Cheered me up!
Well done. Informative and interesting. Not the typical thing and I think that is good.
Now, a small problem. At the end of the session, you mention Cody’s Office. Silly me, I cannot find a link to the same - not in this mailing anyhow. Is it just me having a senior moment?
Great preview!!!
David, you’re a natural behind and in front of the camera. You guys really need to come to Springfield in January for the Big E. It’ll be like a vacation getting out of Milwaukee in January…I know, I grew up there. Keep up the good work on these vids.
Excellent Dave. Having been involved in setting up a couple of times here in Vegas I have a pretty good idea what it’s like and think you covered it perfectly!
David and gang, great show, what a great place to live alot of train shows in the area. Great episode as always, have a great “Gobbler day” untill next week my friends.
Very good .I would liked to have seen the show and all those layouts.
Even our biggest Model Train Exhibitions in Australia would fit 3 or 4 times in that massive facility. Thanks for giving overseas fans and those in the US who couldn`t make it, a chance to see this miracle.
Nice to see what goes on the other side of the pond! We have similar set-ups over here but not quite on the same scale (pun intended) It is nice to see really large modular layouts with scale length trains running and also to “meet” the staff who work behind the scenes setting-up! Well done and good presentation. Have a good thanksgiving
day…Trevor…UK
Neat presentation!
