Water filling is also awesome!!! Others feartures lile Engineer Fred with the grease Gun and the wrench add also more intresting stuff in this nice decoder. Adrian
sounds great on video,realistic
Excellant sound - I wonder how they decoders would be if the speakers were bigger. I also am curious how much bigger the speaker would have to be to makde a noticeable difference.
Great to actually see and hear the qualities reveiwed in the print magazine. The videos/sound are best appreciated after reading the magazine.
I guess I’m not being very respectful when I say that there doesn’t seem to be any of the HO/N scale noisemakers that manage to sound the least bit realistic.
Very impressive sound effects. Definitely worth a look.
Sounds great. I hope they have something small enough for my N scale Kato 2-8-2’s
Sounds great!!!
I have a Tsunami installed in a Bachmann 2-10-0. It far out shines my other sound decoders. I will be replacing them soon. Hope the diesel decoders sound as realistic too!
I have recently installed my first decoder a meduim steam in an Athearn 2-8-2 Mikado and I am impressed witht it. I am presently adding the cam for better chuff sync. I will be converting others in the near future.
I’ve seen/heard a couple Tsunamis in real life also. They sound like that they produce the best steam sounds & they control the locomotive very well.
Spectacular, technological advancements in every issue.
Good overall sound. Sometimes sounded a little canned but that could be the way it comes over the computer speakers. Definitely a great start and worth an “in person” try.
I Have one installed in new Rivarossi UP 484 no. 844 and it is the best decoder I’ve ever bought. Awesome lighting functions and great sound.
AWESOME!
Too cool
I too would like to see Soundtraxx/Tsunami make something small enough for my N-Scale Con-Cor Espee GS-4 #4449 and my many brass steam and diesel locomotives. Bill Nesbitt
I have one of these decoders in my Athearn Genesis Light Mikado. It was well worth the money. Slightly crisper sound than QSI units in my Broadway Limited heavy Mikados. The Tsunami has more whistle type options but the QSI has better whistle control when used with my MRC Prodigy Advanced.
I have a Tsunami medium steam decoder in a NZR Pacific loco and it sounds great. It does much more than is depicted here, such as loud and soft chuff according to work effort, drifting, rod clank, and working brakes. Only problem for me is the correct whistle sound is not yet available. The one depicted could benefit from setting some acceleration delay. Motor control is absolutely first rate.
