Viewing track plans

Hi Everyone,

How does one view the track plans on this site. I currently subscribe to the magazine and have a account for this website but I’m unable to download the track plans.

Please help me

Regards,

Brian [8D]

Can’t tell from the little info provided.

Do you see a message such as the following when you click on the desired plan? If so, what happens when you click on it?

Click on the link to download the PDF of this track plan.

Download PDF mrr-h1109_a_plan
File Size: 280 KB

You are not terribly clear on what your problem is

  • whether it is not finding the track plans (link here: http://www.trains.com/mrr/default.aspx?c=tp&id=93),

  • whether it is not understanding how to save a file instead of viewing it in your browser (generally right click on mouse and “save as”), or

  • whether your web browser doesn’t know how to display files in the Adobe Portable Document Format (.pdf) format. If so, download and install Adobe Reader (freeware) from here: http://get.adobe.com/reader.

Thanks for the reply,

When I find the plan I want it only comes up with this message

Frisco Lines

Download this track plan from Model Railroader

and then says that it’s a subscriber only content and I need to subscribe. there are no link to download the file to my computer.

As I stated in my first post I’m a magazine subscriber and also to this website. I am login into the website.

Also I’ve got Adobe reader 9 installed on my computer.

I can’t think of anything else other than the website will only let members of the US download content and not from anywhere else as I live in Australia.

Brian

Nope. I’m downloading plans just fine here in Norway.

Probably something wrong with the way your account is registered in the user database, so the web application is not aware of the fact that you are a subscriber. Maybe you didn’t enter your address in the same way as on your subscription or something.

You can check your account settings by clicking on “update account” next to your name somewhere near the top of the right hand column when you are logged in.

If there is a discrepancy. contact Kalmbach support to help you fix whatever is wrong: https://secure.kalmbach.com/customer/help.aspx?siteid=14&pubcode=mrr

Thanks Stein,

on your account page I’ve update all my info and I noticed their is a link called website access code. Where do I find this code as I can only find my renewal subscription notice and not the original notice. would it be on this.

i’m sending an email to the support center as well asking on how to access the site.

Thank you

When I am on this forum I see this under my name

Your last issue is the September 2010 issue. Enjoy your exclusive access to special features of ModelRailroader.com.

If you don’t see this it probably means your subscription account and your forum account are separate. Calling customer support is probably your best bet.

Enjoy
