I’m working on a 4’ x 8’ x 4’ L shaped layout “The Cork-Tralee Scenic Railway”. I’m using the Bachmann Irish Railway set (H.O.) and the Hawthorne Village “Emeral Isle” building collection (H.O. Scale). What I’m looking for are accessory peices, i.e.: sheds, walls, fence, vehicles, etc. that fit into the early 1920 - 30 look.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks!

Some of my friends who model European railroads routinely buy from these people in Edinborough Scotland. Perhaps they have what you seek.

hedges were more common then fences then i think…hornby has very nice stone walls, and as for sheds, find the most clapped out and run down old sheds you can.this the only site I found on a model railway from that era, just dont pay any attention to the locos, I dont even know where they came from: http://www.modelvillage.ie/gallery.htm
glad to see other people modelling Irish.
Erin go brea!
Guys,
Thanks for the quick response…this is something I’ve been wanting to do since my Son bought me the Irish Railway set. The Hawthorne Village buildings are a bit expensive (@$56 each) but the detail is excellent and scaled perfectly for H.O. The first building in the set was Killarney Castle, which is in Kerry near Tralee. And my family is from Cork, which is very close, so the Cork - Tralee Scenic Railway was born.
I plan to have it up and running, with only a few buildings, for this Christmas.
I’ll check out both of the sites you’ve recommended.
go raibh míle maith agat! thank you very much! [tup]

Can you find Railway Modeller from Peco (the track people) in your area? It should have a lot of ads for modellers of the British and Irish railways.
Here is the link to their webpage:
