Vintage MN, ND, SD, WI Depot Ink Drawings

Ran into this vendor in the skyways of Minneapolis yesterday. He was selling really nice 11x17 ink drawings of vintage depots of towns/cities throughout Minnesota - and some ND, SD and WI. Drawings were based on historical photographs or personal visit if the structure stil existed.

I bought several representing the small towns of my grandparents that I remember from my youth and present day (Wayzata etc.) Thought would look great in my layout room.

Again, I just ran into the guy yesterday - I have no financial or personal interest - but thought I would pass it on. You can visit his website www.ArtRail.com. Just call up the town/city you are interested in and you can view drawings available for sale.

He shows up at many of the Train shows and swap meets. They are fabulous drawings.

That would be John Cartwright. He will also ‘color’ the drawings and does commissions. I have a number of ‘depots’ done by him. He was just at the La Crosse Rail Sale last Saturday.
