Charity worker thrown off train by teen gang

London: Commuters told of the moment a charity worker was thrown from a train by a gang of youths - and said the service was plagued by beggars.

The 61-year-old passenger, described as “a pillar of society”, suffered a life-threatening injury when his head hit the platform at West Dulwich station. Regular passengers on the 9.22pm train from Victoria to Orpington - the same as the service where the incident took place - said the youths had been begging for money before they “got nasty”.
