It wouldn’t be hard at all to make a better quality facsimilie using your own paint and decals.
I’m sure there a few people here who would do custom paint jobs to if you asked.
Perhaps Craiglist also to find the train? Hopefully the set derails less often than the football team. As a long-time fan, it’s just painful.

Not sure if you are close to Roanoke, but have you checked at The Rail Yard? Located on Rt. 11 between Plantation Rd and Hollins College, I expect that they initially stocked a number of this set. They also purchase & resell items, and it might be worth a try.
