I’m looking forward to the Wabash #1070 and Illinois Terminal #1072 heritage units, which aren’t too far off from being completed.
OOOOOOOO, looks GOOD! Hate to nitpick, but I wish they’d clean and paint the wheels on these Heritage units instead of leaving them rusty, but I guess it wouldn’t last long anyway. I’m sure they know what they’re doing.
PEr FRA Regs the Wheels and Couplers can not Be Painted allows Cracks and other defects to be Spotted easier.
Ah, thanks Ed, I figured there was a reason!
Lots of parts on airplanes unpainted for the same reason.
