Visitors From India

My neighbor had visitors from India, and brought them over to my house ,to see my GARDEN RAIL ROAD, the people said they never saw a GARDEN RAIL ROAD before this was their first , they said they enjoyed it , they were here about an hour. they had many questions, which i tried to answer.

Hey Ben,
Good for you! I cannot say I have ever heard of any GRR’s in India. No doubt they had plenty of questions. You never know…maybe now one day we will see a feature on a RR in India! Later eh…Brian.

Hi Ben,
You might just have planted a seed there that might just grow into a fully fledged garden RRer.
Cheers,
Kim

If they make one like they see @ home–They will need a lot of figues!!

Hey Ben! Looks like you are fast becoming the Garden RR “PR” hub for the east coast! I’m having a problem with my email, I can read but not send, should be fixed soon, but I enjoy your emails!

I wonder how soon we will be seing “made in India” on our boxcars!

Now that will be interesting because that will add another scale, don’t they have a broad gauge at 5’3" as well as standard and several narrow gauge?

Kimbrit, actually I believe that most Indian main lines are 5’6" gauge (wide wide gauge), in Victoria Australia they run Irish gauge of 5’ 3".

Hi DannyS
There is actualy a similar situaton to Aus in India with 5’3" 3’6" and
not to mention a certain well known 2" gauge line.
The guard that will eventualy inhabit one of my guards vans is a little indian fellow if you go to the home and colonial web Site www.robbennet.org/
hopefully the link works there is a picture of my gaurd in a Corris railway gaurds van.
I would think to do an indian Railway most of the trains would have to be scratch built but it would be good to see a line where the line side animals are Elephants and tigers not in the usual cages.

It’s times like this I wish I had a ton of Money to send a new inquisitive soul back with a nice new starter set[:D]

Way to go Ben!

Hi Matt
Sounds like you have the same kind of luck as me
it would weigh a ton and all be 1c pieces[:(]
