i was wondering if any of you know of somewhere that does relativly cheap international postage on rolling stock as the dollar is doing so badly i think this is a good time update some of my models. i am after a rake of heavyweights and perhaps a N&W J class. also i quite fancy some of those bombardier doubledeckers from athearn…
i can buy things in this country but they always markup the prices.

The best deal you can get is having friends in the States who will shop for you and send what you want over. I also used to visit the States a lot on business and for holidays. But… considering the $ to £ current rate, it’s worth going on holiday to the US and taking a shopping list with you. Air fares are cheap, motel / hotel rates are really good and food is cheap and plentiful. And the people are fantastically friendly.
