Its becomming disappointing to me having to wait for arrivals, recently purchased a MTh sd70ace from my local hobby shop My wife Christmas present to me. unfornutaly it would’nt run. returned and after 4weeks was able to find a replacement. How diasppointing to have a 2nd unit that will not operate, meanwhile my local hobbyman is crazy trying to find replacement for me. I’m easy to please, Sd 70 Sd 60 Gp 40 , f45,mp15, i am really not that concerned about what i finally recieve, I am a little surprised that noboby have Locos in stock, most have a pre order requirement, some are promising delivery by september 2011? wow. i guess in this economy no one wants to keep expensive inventory, I’m a little sad I will have to wait till almost next Christmas for my Engine.
When I got into the HO side of things around 8 years ago, it was fairly easy to buy any loco you wanted, especially the bigger road names in steam or diesel.
Today, you cannot find anything, anywhere, at least not new.
BLI web site is barren, hardly a steamer to be found.

And think that they actually could sell if they had anything…[:-,]
Bad market strategy anyone?
I’m not waiting for anything at the moment, but I have noticed that certain things are getting harder to find. I have better luck finding used stuff!
Since Kato can’t seem to jump in with both feet back into HO Scale, I couldn’t seem to find a HO scale Conrail SD80MAC anywhere. I put out a Hail Mary to anyone that had one that they were getting rid of. I found an undecorated model, but I don’t recall having $140 lying around anywhere. So until i either get some cash or the model goes back in stock, I’ll have to rely on blind luck to get a SD80MAC in a Conrail White Face paint scheme.
Is this the one you’re looking for?

No, I’m looking for an SD80MAC, not 70MAC.
