My first box of four Malibu cars from Wal Mart last summer was $3.95. Last week they were $7.95.
I have about 15 to 20 of those, they are great, and at the walmart price[;)]. Ive paid anywhere from $1 to $3.95, it all depends on whats on sale or not, also I have a few Mercedes ones but most of mine are macks and internationals for the U.S.A.
I also have a few packs of the cars which are in packs of 5, but I dont rememeber how much I paid for them

Mine just got some of the Mack looking semis in stock. Before, all they had were the Freight-liner type. I wish they’d come out with some U-haul looking box trucks.
I have alot of these, personally I wish they would do a few mustangs. I’ve been picking our car that would only appear in the 70s though; but I have a lot of them.
My WalMart had a small box of WW2 1/144 tanks. It appears the New Millenium did a second run of the first series (new paint) and a second series. Picked up a pair of M7 Priest for my Nscale troops.
All of the new releases from Malibu are European-style vehicles previously released under the Schuco and Model Power brands. I don’t know that you will see any new American vehicles anytime soon. Up to now, all of Malibu’s models have been made by High Speed, the company that made models for the other companies, and High Speed got in a bit of trouble over licensing.
I use some of the European cars, since they were farily common back then. (VW Beetle, mini-bus, Kharman).
I did pick up as many 70’s era American cars as I could from them though.
