has any one put together the oil loading platform from walthers cornerstone? my instructions are not clear to instal two platforms, if anyone has pics of them together to see how they go together is welcomed. thank you.
Hi, I put two of them together for an oil terminal, and as I recall it was just a matter of taking the end support off of one and connecting with the end support of the second. Keep in mind I built them when they came out, and I may be forgetting something.
I do have a couple of pictures, and will copy you on them if you send me a private email so I can go directly to your email. My access to photobucket (which allows me to go thru this forum, is kaput).

Here are a few quick photos I took of the oil loading platform I put together a few years ago. The pictures are not great but you should get the idea. Basically I just glued the two platforms together and used one vertical brace to span the joint. I used the stairs on each end and the handrail kits as required. I had to do some modifications with the piping to get it to look the way I wanted it but it was a easy project. The assembly is relatively sturdy, but I glued it to a piece of styrene because on my layout it is removeable.
