Can anyone recommend a power supply and where to get it to use with my Walthers 130’ turntable. I’ve installed it on my new DCC layout. I could just use the AC from an old MRC Tech 4 I have but would like something smaller just to plug into the wall.
Your local electronics stores, or electrical supplies stores, may have what you are looking for. I phoned around in the local area on Vancouver Island and one place had a used 16.5 volt and 0.5 amp AC power supply of the same size and shape as the DC ones you would get for a small electrical product like a CD player or small LED TV that needs only 12 volts. I think he wanted $15! He assured me that he would scope it to make doubly sure it was within specs since I didn’t want to rise into the max range for that TT. So far, so good.
Phone around… you may get lucky.
I use the new 90’ turntable. I just wrote down the power supply requirements and went into Radio Shack. They had quite a selection, and I remember that it was fairly inexpensive.
