Walthers 5 unit Well Cars in N Scale

Hello everyone long time no post umm last week i ordered a set of Walthers 5 unit Well Cars in N Scale. Are these any good? And do they have knuckle couplers? let Me Know!!! thanx Keith

I have a 5 unit in ho
not sure exactly who made it but the wheel are kind of crappy and hard to replace as they are very tiny and not like replacemnt at the local hobbie shop

My Brother has a set of these - unless Walthers have upgraded them they have standard Rapido couplers and plastic wheels. The overall appearance is good, however, the rolling resistance is rather high (his set needs a pair of Lifelike GP38-2s to move it - not very realistic for a single unladen 5-unit car!). If you swap the wheels for metal ones and add knuckle couplers it’ll be a fine model, being diecast means that it has plenty of weight low down so it shouldn’t wobble or derail.
