I was renumbering my Service Tracks Started with number 25 to 35 I then added a new service track wanted to make it 36, But when I went to select 36 it did not appear I could not go any further than number 35. I contacted Walter’s and they suggested I do a “Clear Memory/Factory Default Reset” That clears all your defined service tracks from memory which it did and sets service tracks 1 and 2 Well now I only see 00 01 and 02 I am supposed to have 99 tracks to select from. Anyone run into this problem? does anyone know how to resolve this problem
Looks to me as if you go through the whole indexing and ‘set’ procedure for each approach track before it will appear as a ‘service track’ in the list. Is there physically enough space at the rim of a 90’ turntable for 99 physical service tracks? I get no more than about 60 if electrically powered…
I now operate my Walthers TT manually. I did use the automatic indexing early on, but I don’t remember exactly how I used to program it . But here are the instructions I had:
I have the New Version of the Turntable Model 933-2860 With DCC support built in
I have not yet installed the ACM Unit until I get this issue resolved
I always have the service tracks assigned to a number
I started with number 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 and 35
I recently added another service track making it number 36

very strange problem.
I thought the track numbers appeared as they were indexed and set, representing registration of a set of rails relative to an internal index of much higher angular resolution. You will only see the preset [00], [01], and [02] until you finish the procedure to ‘set’ one of the service tracks, and the track you set will appear as [03], etc.
It’s my understanding that there are no ‘default’ detented positions around the rim of the table, other than the optical ‘zero’ reference, and that [01] and [02] are angular default settings that can be erased and overridden once you have tracks programmed the way you want them.
