Good looking building Bud, Is this on your layout or are you building it? Mike

That picture can be found in the Walthers catalog.

That is a nice looking diesel shop, Ken. So they didn’t have it in brass? [:)]

lol

I picked it up at my LHS. The base is 0.6" deep since the inspection pits are molded in. There are alot of stanchions that have to be glued in to support the rails for each bay. The instructions do not cover the rail installation at all. I have not started to assemble the kit yet since I am still trying to figure out how to carve out the foam to set the base in properly.

Dremel, a router bit, and the roto-zip attachment (smaller than the router head, works the same way with a depth stop). Same way I make the notches for my Tortoise mountings. Keep the shop-vac hose in the other hand right at the work space to collect the dust.

For those looking for a good adhesive to attach the rails- My club is working on the roundhouse w/ a similar type pit arrangement. Pliobond has worked wonders for this purpose. My last project was a ME steel viaduct, the Pliobond was the best for attaching the bridge flex also.
