i want to paint my newly acquired walthers atsf wood caboose without getting any paint on the interior of the caboose. i see the kit comes with plastic portions for the windows, does that mean by undoing the screws on the caboose that the body can be painted without interior parts like seats getting painted?
It sure does. However, care must be taken when removing the roof from car body. It’s held in place with locking tabs that can be easily broken off.
anything can be disassembled if you use enough force[:-,]
Thanks for the info bob. how sturdy are those locking tabs anyways? i am a very cautious person when it comes to disassembling models so i don’t see it being too hard to line up the tabs again after i have painted the body. also when you got your 1300 series caboose was the stove pipe missinh? mine was and had to call walthers’ parts department to say it was not with my caboose
Like JPM335 said; anything can be disassembled if you use enough force Putting it back together. Thats the trick.
