Concerning Walthers’ Tri-level autoracks in HO: I know the older release of these came in kit form, and that side panels were seperate pieces, while the newer “Gold Line” series is outed as being “fully assembled and ready to run”…I would like to detail one of these using Plano’s etched side panel kits, and the question I have is are the panels on the Gold Line series still easy to remove or are they now a one-piece molding? thanks in advance for the help.
I have about 30 of those and I have one here I am looking at. It appears to me that the side panels are seperate and you can pry them off if you wanted to. There are nine panels on each side which I think is the same as the kits.
After looking at these a little closer, the panels are attached very weill. I am not sure you can get them off without damaging the car or breaking the panels in the process. Maybe someone else has done that before but I have not. Good luck
