Walthers catalogs to be priced lower for 2007

FYI, you don’t need the number of the maker, typing in their name in the manufacturer box in advanced search works just fine. Fred

Ok,

I saw this post and had to add my two cents. I as well buy my catalogs from trainfest for around $15. I find them to have alot of items I need (and things I dont need and things to dream about). I know the last few years they have tried to include free billboard signs in the catalogs to try to give you an incentive to buy the catalog. Sure on most items they are expensive but, if I can find it online for considerably cheaper Ill buy online. It seems like most of the items I find online, instead of waiting a week for the item, Ill pay the extra couple of dollars for the item and have it same day.

As I mentioned before I live near three hobby stores. One that is elimintating their HO products, one that it never updates their products (and its kinda dingy), and one that has multiple hobbies in one store, and has very good pricing on all items. There are more a few miles away from these but I mainly stick to option 3 and Walthers due to their great staff. In most cases Walthers is my #1 choice due to their large QOH of items.

Ok Im not a salesman from Walthers, but I do shop their regularly (Their Hobby Store). Their sales people there are very knowledgeable in regards to their products, and other manufactuers products. They always like to show case the new race sets and such from Life Like.

I agree their monthly sales books are a craps shoot. Sometimes there is something I like or need and other times theres not.

Sorry for the long post, so in short the catalog helps me every time. Especially when Im bored!

Fred,

Boy I wish you had told me that two years ago!!! I would always go the manufacturer index and type in the number until one day I forgot to do that and just typed in Atlas. It worked!! Sure does make things easier!

I wonder if I sent GM 30 bucks if they would send me a catalogue of their cars, then I could drop 30-40,000 for a big ol’ Buick, Hopefully, as with walthers, they would not send me a catalogue that says: sorry- this item out of stock.
