Walthers height El Capitan Sky Lounge and Commuter cars?

I am wanting to make a custom car out of a El Capitan Lounge. I remember seeing photos of the EC lounge car being shorter then modern superliners, and the commuter cars are shorter then the superliners too. So are the old EC cars the same height as the commuter cars? I dont know if anyone had had them next to each other.

Depends on what “commuter car” you are talking about.

Either way it seems like these might be a better starting point than the El Cap cars.

The first one in SP gray is what I am working with. I am making a “what if” and i wanted a lounge car. I am running it as a what if the SP had a steam program with the 4460… Or I could get a 3/4 dome, but I don’t want to spend $350 for brass.
