Walthers HO Budd Passenger Cars

KD has re-ordered a pair of HOBudds for re-testing.
Their pdf file, http://www.kadee.com/conv/pdf/w333.pdf should be corrected.

Loco3,

I see the photo. I was confused at first as you and Don Gibson seemed to agree on using #36 and/or 38, on the other thread, depending if one wants close coupling or extended coupling.

But after checking again, I realize that this is the “standard” drop in conversion. while the 36 and 38 allow the extra “swivel” that so many of us with tight curves need.

10-4!

Then again, I’m wondering if the difference is that the “swiveling”.

I think part of the problem is the central obstruction, which limits the degree of swivel for the trucks.

My solution will be to run my Budds on wider curves.

The Walthers Superliner cars don’t have this problem, so my AMTRAK train runs just fine !!!
