Mine is on oder!
We have the complete train on our layout and it is great! Real as it gets
This dome car is not too far removed from the full length dome cars the Southern Pacific built for the San Joaquin Daylight trainsets. The lower level window patern is the biggest difference. How about producing one in SP Daylight livery. The only thing on offer for SP modelers now is the old and grossly inaccurate Athern version.
Nice car. It’s on my list to get. Did Milwaukee Road own this type of car, that was latter purchased by CN in 1965 than transfered to VIA? My references are from: #1 The Canadian National Railway Story by Patrick Dorin, page 55. #2 Rails Across Canada by Via Rail Canada (1986 edition), page 94. #3 Westbound by Mike Chandler, pages 118 ( tenth car back), and 190. #4 Rail Canada Volume 4 by Donald C. Lewis pages 76 ( seen behind VIA train #2 with a CN switcher), and 115. Can anyone confirm this? Joe Guglietti from Canada
A truley unique and well-done model that I will add to my pike, I’m attempting to add the “signature” car of each passenger train I can find as a wall display piece.
This is by far the best of my collection, and I am proud to display it,and will for years to come
