This is a great looking model but I have a little problem—when I plug it in there is a fairly loud transmission noise coming from inside the building which is very annoying. It was plugged in for 10 minutes the first time with no problem. The noise started the second time it was plugged and it wouldn’t stop. Is it defective? I called Walthers and of course got no response.

That surprises me - I’ve found Walthers to be very good on the customer service front. I think they realize they need to be since they’re not exactly price-competitive…

I don’t own that model, so can’t really help you on whether it’s ‘normal’ or not… But I’d consider another attempt at working it out with Walthers, maybe you just got one grumpy person on one bad day…
