I was wondering: What do you folks here think of the Life-Like N scale SW800. How does it perform? How difficult is it to convert to DCC? Any/all info welcome. thanks a bunch. I’m asking because I found it for $40.

mine wouldnt hardly go through turnouts with out stalling, or revamping the turnout itself!
but whats funny is the LL SW1200 runs a lil better than its proto counterpart…
$40 isnt bad though…
DCC, yea if you take the weight out of the cab and use a Z-scale decoder and place it in there.
just a heads up though, dont take it apart too often, the metal on the shell will bend, or break off way easy
my only way of if they fell off was to use a thin conductive tape…
