Walthers lowering P2K pricing!

Not long ago, I saw a lot of members here, including myself, saying the P2K prices went up. So anyway, I was looking at Life-Like Proto engines on Walthers today when I noticed something; Walthers is lowering P2K prices![:D]

Here’s a list of some engines showing the new pricing and old pricing:

E7A/B, with S------N/A--------$315

phew!< I didn’t realize they had that many engines until I made that list![:O]
“N/A” means “Original pricing Not Available,” or, “I have no idea how much they were.” The Proto 1000 prices are still the same, and all Heritage steamers (except the 2-8-4) I believe are still the same.

The current GP20 has a high hood, while the old one has a low hood. I was mentioning GP20s in general when I made the list.[:D]

I’m buying more P2K’s

Now thats refreshing! Man they were through the roof.

YAY! P2K made a smart choice there.

Market forces at work no doubt! I bet they could see the potential for some inventory sitting on the shelf.

$125 for a P2K GP38-2? I know where my layout money is going next month!

While they lowered prices, I still think they’re too high. $125 for a GP38-2? I see 'em for $70-$80 all the time.

simon1996 has it, market response.

This is wonderful news.

MAYBE. Who knows what the discounts are now ???[}:)][xx(]

It’s good for us Aussies, we won’t have to pay as much!!!

You got that right! US$410 for a Berk with sound? I don’t think so. While I like their reliability in steam, and their good detailing, I can get a better puller brom BLI for half the price from their Outlet Direct.

Let’s hear it for Adam Smith!!! Raise Prices; Decrease Sales! Lower Prices; Increase Sales.

(Political Jab) Now if only the Democrats would realize that in regards to taxes!!!

Yeah, it is real expensive Down Under.

Actually , at a Train Show on the weekend just gone the SD45’s and GP38-2’s were going for around A$100-$110 each, I even picked up a GP9I for A$85.

I AM WAITING FOR PEOPLE THAT SAW MY TOPIC NOT TO LONG AGO AND I SAID PRICES WERE COMING DOWN. STILL WAITING FOR YOU WERE RIGHT BILLY

Yeah, so do I. But, the main question is…Is it as good or better than a P2K?
JP

Ill gladly pay that for a P2K.

Happy Railroading.[swg][swg]

I know there is cheaper, I mean I got my SD60M from the Brisbane Show For $90 NIB…

I never did understand why Walthers raised pricing on the new P2K products before they corrected the reliability problem with the cracked gears on so many of the old P2K products. Seems they got the cart before the horse.
