Walthers Slumbercoach sleeper

Hello to everyone…What do you think about this Walthers model accuracy? Particularly, I refer to windows shape and dimensions…Thanks a lot.

Hello … Yes, it is a good model. Only a few railroads owned these cars.

The Walthers model looks like the Northern Pacific Slumbercoaches such as the one pictured in the Wikipedia article. The Burlington Railroad (CB&Q) had skirts on its slumbercoaches, but otherwise their cars looked like the Northern Pacific Slumbercoaches.

Many thanks for your kindly answer: is it good the metal finish simulated stainless steel?

Yes, I never understood why the NP choose not to paint the cars to match the rest of the passenger fleet. As far as I know they were always naked stainless steel.

A side note, the NP leased these cars to the PRR and IC in the off seasons so they could be seen in the NE and SE as well.
