Did Walthers ever release an HO Amtrak 8-32BWH? I have seen a few posted on eBay and am tempted to bid. However, I cannot find any other mention of this production.
Yes they did. They issiued the Pepsi Can version when they initially released their Dash 8 model. To my knowledge they had two numbers that you could purchase singly. and then two different numbers were packaged with trainsets. They later issiued two numbers in Phase IV

The Phase IVs that Walthers released are very hard to find. I finally got both road numbers off of Ebay. I believee Atlas released the Dash 8-32BWH in Phase IV but I’ve never seen it for sale.
I don’t believe I’ve ever seen the Atlas model in anything but “Pepsi Can.”
Atlas has also made them in the Amtrak California scheme. Both the new and the old. The old ones are hard to find. The new ones just came out.

Today there were 3 Atlas Amtrak 8-32BWH’s up for bid on EBAY. One in pepsi can, one in Phase IV, and one in Amtrak California paint. Current bid is $63, I believe they are of the master series.

I have two Pepsi Cans, numbered 500 and 510. I think there was another run of Pepsi Cans with yet other numbers.

I have some Pepsi Vanilla cans…oh wait, that’s a paint scheme.[:I] I think Walthers listed theirs as an 8-40BW, not an 8-32BHW.
