I agree with Thomas. I have had mine now for at least 2 years and it operates as reviewed here… CHEERS
As a side bonus, the shell is from on the old “Train Minature Line” tooling, and as such the old TM shells fit the chassis, allowing you to easily have more than the two schemes/numbers offered.
I went with a UP MOW, and a Mopac Eagle merch. for mine, as they better fiit my modeling era.
TM kits are still easily available at swap meets and online auction sites.
I bought one as a replacement for an old one that disappeared from my layout that was purchsed back in the late 80’s , Mft. is lost to memory . While looking through Ebay offerings I found one of these from Walthers for a very low price before Christmas , upon receiving it I was delighted to see the plastic body appeared to be from the old Train Minature line , with great detailing , having several of those in boxes from prevoius years, I replaced the body with a Southern Pacific livery . The car performs just like Thomas said and does a very good job of keeping the rails clean and ready for service . Very pleased ! Jim
