Does anyone have any of the Walthers 89’ tri-level auto carriers, and if so what are your thoughts on them? Specifically what is the minimum radius that they will operate on (not listed on the Walthers website)? I’m not worried about appearance/overhang etc. at the moment as I only have a test circuit operating but am looking at collecting rolling stock with eye towards a future layout. I would however would like to at least be able to run them now.

If I remember correctly, the Walthers auto carrier kits from the 1990s listed 24" as the minimum radius. I would guess these are the same.
They might say 24 inches, but on my old layout, mine ran on 21-inch radius curves. Granted, they look much better on my new layout.

Since we are talking about Walthers tri - level auto carriers. Does anyone know how tall they run. Distance from top of roof to rail. To work out tunnel clearance.

Im not sure about the height of them but I have a couple that run on an 18" radius, they will make it, if your trackwork is good.
