Walthers turnout and caboose ground throw

I have a walthers HO code 83 turnout and caboose industries groundthrow and Im trying to figure out which throw bar attachment works with the Walters turnout. The ground throw comes with several. A single pin, dual pin, hook type etc. The throw bar on the turnout has a single hole on each side of throwbar and between each hole and its respective end of the throwbar there is a rectangular rasied portion that has a horizontal slot under it. Im perused the forums but not found anything specific on Walthers turnouts. Any help is greatly appreciated

You want to use the one shaped like a “Knuckle” coupler.

The “finger” portion snaps under the raised section of the Walther’s turnouts throwbar.

It may take a minute or two of working it into place, but once it snaps in you will be set.

Thanks, you probably saved at least one ground throw from an early death.

I cut the raised portion off (it’s designed for an Atlas switch motor), drill a hole in the throw bar to match the “pin” of the ground throw. It looks much neater and tales up less space.

Just to check…with Code 83 Walthers/
Shinohara turn outs, the regular sprung 190 model 202? is usually used if not using
the ground throw with the assorted pin choices, right? I’ll be buying a bunch soon and
want to be sure…thanks.
Is there an advantage to the multi pin version if you’re using only one brand of turn out?
