Walthers Valley Citrus Packers Model

I am working on the Valley Citrus Packers models, repurposed as a midwestern vegetable & fruit wholesale facility (just changed the signs is all). Can anyone share some images of their completed model of this structure for inspiration concerning color schemes- also, has anyone detailed the interior and lighted it? If so, what type of lighting and how many individual lights are needed.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I thought that the picture on the box looked pretty good. I painted (sprayed) the exterior walls using Rust-oleum American Accents Leafy Green. This is much lighter than the original color. But neither too light or too bright. The windows and doors I left alone. This gives me lighter walls with darker trim. I think it matches the box picture very well.

I could provide general interior arraignments if it was a produce packing shed, presuming goods arrive prepacked and sorted I would go for more of a warehouse/storage facality, without the need to grade, cull or pack, all mechanical systems such as conveyors, sorters could be disposed with thus providing a considerable amount of usuable floorspace for warehousing, perhaps a few conveyors were retained and retroffitted for moving packed/crated produce within the plant.

The naked bulb with enameled reflector was common for interior illumination, many were suspended on metal conduit from a convient roof beam, might explain why packing houses were great users of skylights and clerestories particulary in areas were sorting and grading were performed. Packing houses evolved with technology, so don’t rule out other possibilities, houses often changed owners with such frequency that uprades of lighting cannot be dismissed.

I’ve yet to tackle this structure as I model in S scale, when built it will serve as a avacado packer, . Packing sheds could be quite colorfull compared to other structures, many were the pride of their communties and were maintained in excellent condition.
