want to post pictures

Hi,

I have been searching the “help” about how to post photos, but have not been able to find any instructions. I would like to post some photos of my layout so far.

Get an account with photobucket.com or railimages.com. You need to give this server access to another server because this server doesn’t want to store the information, just link to it with hypertext. So, once you have your account, and have successfully uploaded pix to it, you tell this server where they are in each of your posts by doing the following in the text box:

1. open the image on the image site to full size.
2. right click and open “properties”
3. hilite the URL halfway down the window and right click again. Select “copy”.
4. close out and back-arrow to your text box here, click in it, and then take your cursor up to the top of your window to “Edit”. Click on “paste”.
5. Place your cursor immediately in front of the pasted URL, and type the [ symbol followed by “img” and then the ] symbol.
6. At the very end of your pasted URL, do the same, except add a / ( a forward slash)right after the first bracket. This server now recognizes the direction and will automatically show the image you wanted displayed in your thread.

Like all directions, they seem impossible to keep straight, but after you have done this four or five times, it becomes learned.

It can even be easier than this. Once your pictures are uploaded to PhotoBucket, just click on the IMG line below the thumbnail picture (which should highlight the [img] info, copy it, and then paste it into the response box in the forum.
