ConrailPoilce@aol.com

Do you frequent eBay?

Oh wait, I take it your bidding on a six pack…

…Of hoppers, I mean[:D]

I will try to control the voices inside telling me to outbid you and patch them for NYC.[alien]

Yes I’m bidding on some now…but I need more

John

I’ll see if my LHS has any next time I go. If they do, perhaps we could work out a deal…that is if you don’t have the number they have. They seem to carry quite a bit of Bachmann, so I’d say they do have one.

Ok any number is ok I’m trying to get all I can…

John

You could also find some undecorated sets and make them ConRail. I model Pennsy, PC, Conrail, SP, SF, SSW, and KCS. I have family history on Pennsy through ConRail. It’s difficult to find east coast stuff here in Texas. The rest of the roads come from my seeing them as a kid and now. I love the model and the real artifact stuff. I would love to have a real box car to build a lay out in…I do have the space for one…just have to find one and be able to afford to move it.

need more…

Does it have to be specifically the Bachmanns? Bowser makes a fine kit, and I know that Conrail is one of the roadnames.

I have nevered tryed Bowser their price is a bit high for me…

I would agreee that bowser makes a fine 3-bay coal hopper kit. They tend to retail for around $12 but can usually be found for around $8-9 without too much looking. How much to the Bachmann Silver Series cars sell for? I am honestly not sure that I have ever seen one.

I think their retail was $90 but he got his for $10, I think. The guy on eBay took a sorry picture though.

Both Bowser and Bachmann make decent 100 ton hoppers. Most Bachmanns I have seen go for 8-10 while Bowser can be had usually for 9.99 with discount.Bowser gets the edge as far as detail gos with not as thick ladders and slope sheets. The bachmann is a nice hopper though. They are definately more robust,Dan
