I’ll see if my LHS has any next time I go. If they do, perhaps we could work out a deal…that is if you don’t have the number they have. They seem to carry quite a bit of Bachmann, so I’d say they do have one.
You could also find some undecorated sets and make them ConRail. I model Pennsy, PC, Conrail, SP, SF, SSW, and KCS. I have family history on Pennsy through ConRail. It’s difficult to find east coast stuff here in Texas. The rest of the roads come from my seeing them as a kid and now. I love the model and the real artifact stuff. I would love to have a real box car to build a lay out in…I do have the space for one…just have to find one and be able to afford to move it.
I would agreee that bowser makes a fine 3-bay coal hopper kit. They tend to retail for around $12 but can usually be found for around $8-9 without too much looking. How much to the Bachmann Silver Series cars sell for? I am honestly not sure that I have ever seen one.
Both Bowser and Bachmann make decent 100 ton hoppers. Most Bachmanns I have seen go for 8-10 while Bowser can be had usually for 9.99 with discount.Bowser gets the edge as far as detail gos with not as thick ladders and slope sheets. The bachmann is a nice hopper though. They are definately more robust,Dan
