I’m from the UK and the trains.com web site looks like one of the best places I’ve found to learn about US trains. There are loads of articles to read. Have you visited the US yet to see / ride the trains?

[#welcome] Wayne and Kevin, welcome to the forums,we’ll be looking forward
to see what questions,or answers you all have for the rest of us.[:)]

Thanks for the welcome!

Which part of Scotland are you from? My mother was born in Eldersley (I think that is how you spell it) and my grandfather was born in Georgetown.

By the way, welcome to the forum.

Try this site, and you can actually listen to many of them operate. That’s a good start.

Wayne,
What is it you would like to know?

Welcome Wayne and Kevin 1978 to the forums! I believe you will learn much from
these forums. And possibly teach us Americans about European and Australian
railroads. [angel]
