They state " RKOEBAYSUPORT@EBAY.COM Your bid has been cancle click this link to see why. it will give an auction number I went to ebay serch on another page and entered the auction number in and it was nothing I ever bidded on so that was my second hint I foward email to spoof@ebay.com . I felt something was wrong from word go I always check another way befor I click on a link if I’m not sure its who it says it is if you goto any of the other links you will see this warning as I’m going to put it in all forums.
Well, I guess if you refuse to do E-Bay like I do you’re safe from that one!
I’m always getting these “phishing” scam messages about e-bay, banks, credit cards, etc. warning me to log on immediately and confirm my account number or suffer a long, slow death. A simple rule to remember is that banks, credit card companies, and e-bay never send out these types of messages, so just delete them. These are all attempts to steal your money.
Unfortunately, there are some really stupid people in this world who believe these messages. I’m sure you’ve all received the desperate plea from the Nigerian Princess to needs your bank account number so she can “hide” her fortune from the Nigerian government, and is willing to give you 50% of her fortune for helping her. Yeah, right.
There were two recent items in the local newspaper about elderly women who received telephone calls from “very sincere sounding young men” who told them they had won the Canadian Lottery and needed to send them money to cover the “customs fees” so their winnings could be mailed to them. One sent $5,000 and received a phony, worthless check in the mail; the other sent $12,000 and received nothing.
Scams like this is why there is a “delete” key on your keyboard.

Hello All from the newest newbie! It’s been my philosophy that:“if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably ain’t!” On bidding on e-bay; I am so poor that I can only bid on one item at a time, and usually about twice a year, so…problem solved (LOL)
