Washington Metro runs special train to save bald eagle

Way to go.

Nice to see folks inside the Beltway still have a heart–two thumbs up!!!

That was a great thing that METRO did. They took the time to transport a sick bald eagle to be taken care of. They do have a heart.

GOOD FOR METRO !!!

I’m sorry to hear that the eagle didn’t make it. Boo, to newspapers didn’t cover it. I still say METRO has a heart!

Excellent!

A nice story. Good to see that a transit agency cares about our feathered friends and our national symbol.

That funny, none of the local press reported this event.

Reseach - It happen 25 Feb 2012 (12 days ago - on a slow news weekend). Sorry to report the eagle did not make it.

The eagle was saved on 25 Feb. The injury was bad enough that the eagle was put to sleep two days ago.

Now if this was the LIRR they’d have probably had the bird arrested for trespassing!
