DC Metro is the only way to get around that town.
Maybe just plain incompetence on the part of whoever was in charge that day? Or are we just getting too dependent upon computer systems that are too complex for anyone to really understand? There should be some sort of backup, and maybe backup to the backup, in these systems that prevents this.
I’ve visited DC twice, once in the 80’s and again last month. The DC Metro was then and is now a completely awesome system - clean and efficient with frequent trains, beautiful stations, helpful staff and purdy trackwork to boot. Whatever you do when visiting DC, don’t fail to check it out. It’s an attraction all by itself !
