Yea that’s what they say but time will tell when they let the railroad deteriorate and don’t invest any money into the track and equipment
That is nice to keep some of looks the same. Anyone know more about this HOLDING Co. Such as are they public?
This sounds good, but I am concerned renumbering will occur after the first instance of the computer system not recognizing a unit because the person who entered the number actually shown on the equipment did not know that there are ghost numbers in the computer.
Thank you Mr. Loeb for the clarification. Those of us in Wisconsin are looking forward to more business as usual.
Watco is not purchasing track with the Wisconsin and Southern. The state of Wisconsin owns the track. Watco will have to continue to meet the same lease agreements that the W & S did.
WATCO will eventually learn that it would be easier to just add WSOR as a valid identifier in its computer system than to go and renumber / reletter all it’s WSOR locomotives … A good computer programmer should be able to made those modifications, test, and implement if less than 16 man hours …

Their system won’t accept units with reporting marks other than WAMX?? What do the do when someone else’s unit runs through??
A number is a number. Only 1027 has that special meeting
to me. I’m sure WATCO management put this numbering
project into a small two minute meeting. You do not become
successful thinking about the small stuff.
