Way Off Topic but I don't Care.

Congradulations! I know you and your wife must be estatic and proud. You deserve to be. Just proves, miracles are possible.

Best of 2006 and beyond.

Spacemouse,

Praise the lord!

Yes I do. My two oldest girls, Laura and Emily are blind, Emily is also autistic but not too badly so, my other two girls both have learning disabilities but otherwise are normal. Yes, believe me I know.

Congratulations and I hope he has continued success.

Polio, smallpox, measles, hopefully science will keep adding to the list of ailments that USED to ravage young lives.

My daughter was a twin but a complication took her sister in the second trimester. She and her mother survived only because the cutting edge of science and the Medical Arts had progressed as far has they had back in 1987. IMHO thanking God is just a start. Don’t forget the Doctors and Nurses and Scientists working to discover new ways to keep us humans healthy.

Best off-topic post I’ve ever read. Thanks for brightening my day with your good news.

Tim,

Annnnnd…don’t forget the brains to discover the “new ways to keep us humans healthy”. [:)]

Chip that is truly inspiring news, glad you shared it [off-topic or not]! Helps me keep things in perspective about my own kids - all of whom have “issues” but none quite that intense!

That is excellent Chip.

I’m sorry to hear that.

My apologies to parents and grandparents of children with disabilities. As you know it is easy to feel alone in your struggles. In my exuberance, I forgot that others out there are in the same boat or worse.

That’s fantastic news Chip!!!
All the best to you and your family. Keep us informed about his layout.

That is so great to hear. I earnestly hope and pray for continued improvement. Hope you two enjoy your hobby together for many years to come.

Tom

Congratulations, Chip - that’s wonderful news. For you and for him.

That’s great news!

Congrats, Chip!! It always seems your off-topic threads are pretty good…you’ve done it again. Here’s wishing you and your family continued successes and good health.

Great things happen to great people…Congrats!!!

Guy

What wonderful news, Chip! I couldn’t be happier for you and your wife and especially Shane. May God continue to guide you all.

Congrats Chip and give him an “Attaboy” from me [bow]

Chip, that is certainly good news to hear!

It was in Model Railroader some time last year that our hobby actually helped some what with mental disabilities…Could it also help with autism?

Congrats all around! Here’s hoping that he continues to improve.[:D]

He has a great starter layout as well.[;)]

Chip,
That has got to be the best news I have heard in some time. The OL and I are both smiling at the news. Tell lil mouse that’s a bang up job on his studies. May you all continue to be well and safe.

Peace.
