I would appreciate it if you could define and supply information on the term “waycar”

“Waycar”, “cabin car” “caboose” “van”…all the same thing, just depends on what railroad you’re on.

Its a slang name for a caboose. As was previously pointed out, different railroads called cabooses by different names. There is no major difference in purpose or design between the cabooses, just different names.
