We made it back

Well we made it back, What did everyone get accomplished the past few days? I Painted a fleet of open hoppers and a couple of covered hoppers. It’s good to be back. Mike

I accomplished nothing, at least not on the RR. New forum format looks nice.

hmm

I managed to get my yard in and tortoise wire holes drilled. Its more wore than one thinks first you gotta arrange the track so that everything lines up perfect through the turnouts then you have to put down the roadbed by sliding it under the track then you have to fasten down the track then remove the turnouts to drill the holes , put the turnouts back in again line all the track up again through the turnouts then you can proceed to mointing the tortoise switches . Sheesh do I like to do things the hardway or what . ok where’s the smileys

Lynn

i started to tear down the old layout(again) the benchwork has seen 1 and a half layouts. th first neared 50% scenery completed, the second one never got past buying track. so, out with the old 4x8, in with the new 22x5 “dogbone!” im using as much stuff from the old layout as possible, to save some strain om my tiny budget. i also spent some time on the other fourms im not on as much.

Great layout Tom. I didn’t get anything done, I tried to build a small section of benchwork, but the mosquitoes found me before i could finish it…

Haven’t done much but continue the debate on wheather to model CGW in '68 or IANR in '06. I think I’m going w/ CGW.[^]

Been fighting with Alclad, but am making progress.

It’s nice to see the forums back up and running. I like what I see so far.

Take care,

Russell

It’s good to be back.

Good to be back. I made progress with painting the backscene on the southern wall of my layout. It is a mountain scene based on the mountains overlooking my home town of Lisburn and nearby Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Edited for spelling
