As I am now doing some scenery, I finally ballasted some track. The shiny rail kinda stood out so I thought I would paint them. Over the winter I bought a set of Floquil Track color Enamel Paint Markers. I thought I would try them out I rather liked the finish, and I really liked how truely easy it was to apply. I have tried to paint rail before and was anything but excited about the process, or the result.
Just wondered if anyone else had tried them and what they think of the results.
Here is a progress picture on the mountain portal on my layout. Stuff still to do, the signalling works and I sure like the effect better than the plywood! Interesting how the flash makes the wire of the trees so clear. You can hardly see them when you look at them regularly.
Lookin good. I haven’t tried the pens. I was waiting to hear some feed back before buying.
I’ve been working on my mountain this week. I got the same portal and walls you do. I just finished the tunnel liners last night and I’m starting the skeleton and screen tonight. It’s a pain in the butt, but the results are worth it.
