Well I used chalk powder on a new Athearn boxcar, then I sprayed it with dullcote and let it dry, when I came back afterwords there were white splotches on the car. How do I get this off and what went wrong?
I’ve had that happen a couple times. I think I narrowed it down to high humidity and cold temperatures. An alcohol wash reacted badly with dull coat once too.
Try letting it dry REAL good and giving it another coat under ideal weather conditions. (worked for me)
Alright I found the problem, it is below freezing outside.
When that happens I simply respray the item under the proper conditions. That fixes it.
