weathering

I read on this forum about Sophisticated Finishes products for rusting equipment. I went out and purchased some in Ottawa, Ontario canada at Micheal’s and I am a believer! I bought the Iron Metalic Surfacer for $14.99 a 4 OZ. bottle and the Rust Antiquing Solution for $9.99 a 4 OZ bottle. If you read the instuctions and are patient enough to wait as they say the results are fantastic. I recommend anyone who likes to or even thinks about weathering to buy these readily available products.[tup]

I’ve seen some great results with that stuff. Your lucky. I’ve been having a heck of time trying to get it.

Hey, I thought they were only available in the States according to the post, but here they are in Canada!

I tried to order it from 5 different stores now. They all said they could get it and then turned around and said they can’t or it was discontinued.[V] I think it has to do with how corrosive it is.

It doesn’t say it is dangerous in any way, it says Caution, Contains Iron filings in an aqueous of water soluble solution, so I don’t think that it is an issue.

It should be available on-line through Michaels. Or you can put “Sophisticated Finishes” into Google and find a place that will send it to you.

This is all I’ve been able to coax out of it so far, My first (loco) and second (gon) experiments.
